Gendler Grapevine Fresh Stop Market @ The J
The Gendler Grapevine Fresh Stop Market @ The J will begin the 2018 Fresh Stop Market season in May. This Market is named after Rabbi Everett Gendler, considered by many to the father of the Jewish environmental movement, to honor his life's work and the work of his family foundation—the Gendler Grapevine Project—in helping to fund the start up of this Market. This is New Root's first "East End" of Louisville Markets.
The Gendler Grapevine Fresh Stop Market pops up every other week on Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 PM at the Jewish Community Center (The J), in the Pavilion next to the Community Garden on the back edge of the property, next to Shalom Towers. (See below for location and scheduled dates of delivery)
LOCATION: 3600 Dutchmans Lane, Louisville, KY 40205

Meet our Fresh Stop Market leaders for 2017:
Check in leader: Donald Platoff.
Donald "Donny" Platoff is one of the founders of the Gendler Grapevine FSM and is returning for his second season of checking you into our amazing Market. He loves the work and is available for public speaking anywhere to spread the word about the rewarding work of being a Fresh Stop Market leader.
Chef Liaison and Check in leader: Pami.
Pami is one of the founders of the Gendler Grapevine FSM and is returning for her second season of asking you to pay for your next share! Although Pami grew up in communities around the world, her relationship to Louisville dates back generations. She is a licensed massage therapist and health coach. Pami is also a cancer survivor and can speak from a place of deep knowledge about her love and passion for a whole food plant based lifestyle.
Farmer Liaison: Amy Green
Amy is one of the founders of the Gendler Grapevine FSM and is returning for her second season of blissful produce purchasing! Day of Leader: Kim Toebbe

Site Leader: Michael Fraade
Michael is one of the founders of the Gendler Grapevine FSM and our main liaison to our site at the JCC (the J) and is our Hazon JOFEE Fellow. He came to Louisville in June, 2016 from three years of WOOFING and managing vegetable and livestock farms, to spread the word in the Jewish community and beyond about food, farming, and sustainable living. Michael's works out of the J but can be seen all around the Commonwealth leading hikes, organizing restaurant nights, in the J's community garden, and extolling the virtues of compost.
